Even with a tool I couldn’t get the backs to snap onto the stem, the stem is very thick

I have used so many different brands of safety eyes and have NEVER had eyes this hard to put the backs on. They will not click into place. I have been trying for over 30 minutes and have still only successfully gotten one eye "clicked" on, with it only being on the first groove of the post as I can't get it to go any lower. Also with as big as these eyes are, I thought that the post would also be decently long, however they barely poke through the thickness of my yarn, making it even harder to click into place (I can't even get them to click on even without putting them on a plushie though so unsure if that even matters). I am also only 20 years old so if you have any sort of arthritis in your hands/fingers I would not recommend as my fingers are throbbing currently from trying so hard to get these to work unsuccessfully.

The eyes arrived fast.All the eyes have minor imperfectionsPersonally i don't mind it.Still loved them.Once i used them all i will order more 😁
