I have been now using this for 6 weeks and opened several wine bottles. Very easy to use, getting the cork off much easier than my previous one. So far, so good!

Sacacorchos de excelente calidad. Funciona de forma eficiente y segura al destapar las botellas de vino. Nunca había tenido un sacacorchos tan eficiente. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

This works well and has held up to plenty of use. It feels a little flimsy, so I was skeptical at first - but it has proven to be much more durable than it seemed. The bottle opener in the top works well, and the corkscrew is great. It is easy to get the corkscrew into the cork, and corks - natural and synthetic - come off of it easily as well. This feature alone makes it easier to use than many other corkscrews. I'm very pleased with this!

My favorite line from someone else's review, which I agree, is: "It drills through the cork like butter." I used to have a black plastic wing-style wine opener, which I bought more than a decade ago, from Trader Joe's, and it appears is no longer manufactured anywhere. I hunted high and low. It had a unique style and worked easily. Since it broke, I have been unable to find a wine opener that works well, and easily. I've gone through half a dozen that I have tried, and returned to the store, or gotten rid of. My response to this is: Eureka! I finally found a replacement. What can I say? The silver square-ish lever at the top is EASY to hold onto. That, in combination with the silicone-covered (I assume) threaded coil at the bottom, lifts the cork up EXTREMELY easily. More easily and smoothly than any of the other half-dozen (at least) wing-style wine openers that I have tried. I like it almost as much as the rabbit-style mechanism that goes up and down to extract the cork, then releasing it. I recommend this opener, which I bought because of the many positive reviews. I join their ranks!

This is a very sturdy winged corksrew at a great prize. It is by far superior to the half prized models you find in supermarkets where you typically have the issue of a cheap plastic mold which breaks eventually at the wing hinge. Being very picky, the only thing that could be improved is how pointy the tip of the screw is. You have to push down firmly to make it into the cork. Nonetheless, an excellent opener! It lives up to the expectations of a "German product" however, it is made in China.In general, the biggest advantage of such a winged corksrew over an "endless-turn" corkscrew is that you can stop turning before the cork is poked thru and still get it out. This is especially important with the new non-natural corks since you will create a channel thru which wine will leak out if you have the bottle lying again after opening it. Besides that it also serves as a very sturdy beer bottle opener!
