The mount is metal, and easy to secure. The screw tightens easily and has a pad to try and protect the surface you mount this to.The tablet holder is a 2 point plastic springed holder. It works well, holds most common tablet sizes and is unlikely to let them fall out.For the price I think this is a pretty decent option should it appear to be the style you are going for. This won't work with nearly any phone so if you were wanting a mount that could switch between a tablet or phone then this is not the one for you.This is great for mounting a tablet in the kitchen or workshop. I mounted it in the workshop and it's hasn't fallen off. The mice part about it is you can move it to other locations as it's not hardware mounted.

I was extremely unsure what I wanted to use for my kitchen cabinet accessory I looked at several and decided to give this a shot. I’m really glad that I did. Its ease of use and space saving features are great! Also, I can adjust it and move it around as needed. There’s no permanent damage to the cabinets and I was even able to take it with me to my parents house during the holidays to prepare food there. I definitely recommend this product!

I am an amateur painter and I often paint from reference photos on my iPad. This mount not only fastens to a tabletop or the top of my supply cabinet but will also attach solidly to my easel and allows me to place the iPad wherever I need it. It also mounts easily to kitchen cabinets and countertops...and a lot of other things.The unit is VERY solidly built and holds the iPad securely. The clamp is well-padded enough for any surface and is easy to tighten and loosen. It comes well-packaged in two pieces that snap together intuitively (even without reading the directions.)The knob that allows adjustment of the swivel would be easier to turn if it were a little larger but that's a nit-pick.If you have an iPad or other tablet with controls near the corner, be mindful of which corners you place in the mounts. The first time I used this I inadvertently turned the audio down to 0 and spent five minutes trying to figure out where the sound went. Duh.
