Worked fine in keeping a warm surface to put pots on. The only issue is we had to provide a protective surface below it so it does not damage our table since it is not insulated from below.

I never had a warming tray before so I never knew how handy these trays really are. I plugged it in, turned it on and in no time it was 140 degrees (the default). The same when I turned it off. In no time it was cooled down enough to roll up and put back in the cupboard.I tested it the first time with a Corelle bowl of luke warm water. The bowl stayed warm to the touch but not hot. The water stayed luke warm. We tested different parts of the tray with a temperature gauge and it was very consistent all the way around. It did not have any hot stops. I checked under the tray to see how the counter felt and it was slightly warm. Nothing to be concerned about.We just got our first griddle last year and we love it. The problem is my husband is done cooking faster than I am with the sides to go with it. In the past we had to microwave the meat just before eating because it cooled down too fast. Now with our new toy, the meat stays warm while the sides are being prepared.The next test will be on cards night. We like to serve different appetizers and snacks so we're not eating the same ole chips and dip. Now I can have warm dips, meatballs, wings, pigs in a blanket, and whatever else I can think of. Keeping the snacks warm. And it has a timer, just in case, we get too involved with cards and forget about it.I definitely would recommend this warming tray to anyone that prepares food at different intervals or has card night. Especially at this price.I love my new kitchen addition and wondered why I didn't get this sooner!

__This is essentially a heating pad for food, complete with 3 timer presets (1/2 or 4 hours max) and 3 temperature presets (140/175/215 Fahrenheit).__All controls are on a small touch panel on the top of the heating mat.__At 6 feet, the cord is long enough to reach a nearby outlet (hopefully).__The temperature settings made me wonder if this could harm the surface below it. I ran a test. I placed this on a raw piece of plywood, set it to the highest time and temperature settings. After an hour, I checked the temperature: It was clearly hot, I could touch/tap the mat itself for an instant with out a burn to my finger, but it was hot. I let the test continue. At 4 hours, I flipped back the mat to inspect the surface below. I could not tell where the mat had lain, at least not by sight. I could feel where the mat had been because the surface was hotter in that area, but that is all. I could touch the plywood surface and feel the heat, but I was not going to get a burn from that plywood.__The plywood in my test had no finish on it. A wooden tabletop would have a finish on it. While the wood would not be harmed, could a finish on the wood be harmed by heat? I suspect that is possible. I would have no qualms about placing this on stone, Formica or tile, but on an expensive inlaid wood table? If I were using the lowest setting (140F), I would consider it. If I wanted it at a higher setting, I would find something to place under it--but not a dish towel (or similar).__The under side of this has little feet and ribs to suspend the part with the embedded heating element ABOVE the surface below (see photo). Because of this, placing this on a plush soft surface (like a dish towel) would not be advisable because the feet would SINK into the towel and bring the towel CLOSER to the heating element. If you have the desire to protect a tender surface below this, place it on a piece of acrylic, plywood, MDF, an arrangement of loose tiles (watch out for rough tile backs), a piece of cork, etcetera.__The surface of this is large enough to hold multiple items, even a half sheet baking pan can fit on this. It is nice to have that space when entertaining.__This can be rolled up for storage when not in use. That's nice for an item that is not in constant use.__I am glad to have this, the only negatives I see using this (aside from the finish concern above) is that it is almost too big when open. My buffet, (the ideal place for this) is a little narrower than the mat, so that is an issue for me, and it's reason to always check the dimensions of this and your space.__ 4.5 stars (if I could).__I hope this review helped you.

No me gustó mucho carga muy lento, preferible el cargador normal
