The first order of business after receiving these fans was removing the many bamboo splinters from the wood splines. Here are some thoughts if you do plan to buy this set, which I do not recommend.Pros:- Can be difficult to find, so this might work if you can live with the shoddy workmanship and overall quality.Cons:- Color was a little off from what was seen online in the Amazon description photos. If you plan to get the same shade of purple, I do not recommend this set.- Other than the many bamboo splinters, the other main issue was the very shoddy construction. In hand, the fan itself felt like it was going to disintegrate at any minute.Overall, I do not recommend getting this set. It was a total disappointment.

The colors on these are really pretty and vibrant. Fabric seems securely attached. The fans themselves seem pretty sturdy, but they are stiff and hard to close smoothly like other dance fans I own. I took 2 stars away for these reasons - 1) they are hopelessly wrinkled from the packaging, and since they aren't real silk I have not been successful in getting the wrinkles out, I asked on the listing if anyone knows how and have not received a reply. I get that the 'look' is a bit crinkled but this is beyond that. 2) they do not flow nicely like silk fans. The fabric is kinda rough and stiff so they might be fun to play with or practice, but they do not flow pretty like silk fans.

This is very fun both to dance with and play with my toddler. The edges and connections n around the fan are quite choppy and it's slightly stiff in its ability to slide from closed to open. Overall, the quality could be better, it is fun to have and the colors are vibrant.

Used them as water in a production of Frozen and later The Little Mermaid. Worked great!

Retired dancer and dance instructor here. I found that the fabric is much too heavy and far too stiff. It takes a great deal of effort to get and keep the fans moving, and they don't stay moving for long. Fan veils should move with little effort - these don't. They were well constructed, but I cannot recommend them to dancers, they just don't work.
