These are just the right size for business cards. Double-sided too. I like how they are slick and waterproof. They don’t bend like paper business cards. They are also great for pictures.

I ordered these to make business cards for my start up business. I like the fact that they are metal and I can make them easily at home. They won’t get bent up in the bottom of a purse or in a wallet. They have a glitter finish to them which makes them look even better once you press your image onto them. I will be buying again when I run out.

These cards work well for sublimation. The color saturation is very good. Here are a few observations/suggestions for use:(1) I found 350F for 40-45 seconds works best. Much more heat/time and fine, dark lines blur (i.e., ink migrates laterally). I tried high temp (380F) at a shorter interval, but the warping of the card was significant.(2) The cards are thin, and they will warp while pressing, so I found that medium to med-high pressure helps keep an even transfer. Low pressure (e.g., weight of a hand press) resulted in partial transfer.(3) After removing heat, it is good to keep pressure on the card as it cools to reduce warping. Maybe a heavy, heat conductive weight (cool metal) would be best.(4) Although double sided, each side must be pressed separately -- the PVC does not conduct enough heat (say, for example, like a metal card would). Thus, owing to warping in the first pressing, you will definitely need to follow #1, above, on the second press (i.e., it will have a slight warp).(5) As a test, I tried (a) white text on a black field, and (b) black test on a white field. I found that, for the same text size, a bold font for (a) and regular font for (b) produced similar clarity/size of text. Once again, the ink will spread laterally (even at 350F/40s), so this is a small way to compensate with the art work, if possible. Otherwise, it's not too severe.I realize it sounds like there is a lot to keep in mind, but these can work very well. Just remember, they are thin, plastic cards, and just that. They bend, kind of like a regular playing card (and you can make a really sweet custom deck with these).
