So far so good. Came with a usb stick with what I assume are drivers, but there's no way I'm plugging it in. Getting advertised speeds. We'll see how it holds up over the years.Connectivity is great, no drivers needed, a litter warmer than expected though.

The OEM was $150 for the NAS this was $46. Took a chance and this just works.Synology hates me.

For $45, the card works but it's not the greatest. Drivers work on W11, you'll just have to manually target the driver folder after extracting them. My 10Gbe fiber speeds are supposed to be symmetrical but I think this card is limiting the upload speed since my phone on wifi 7 gets faster upload (above 3k) than my pc on ethernet. There shouldn't be this big of a gap between the DL and UL speeds on 10Gbps full duplex.

It uses the Intel X540 chipset. On Linux, it uses the ixgbe driver and works fine. On Windows 10, the drivers that are linked in the Amazon listing does not have a valid signature by Intel. It's difficult to share lots of fixed-width text on Amazon, so pardon my screenshots of text.Also bear in mind that the card supports 100M, 1G, and 10G, and not 2.5G or 5G. If you plan to connect it to a 10G switch, you're a-okay, otherwise, you'll be running at 1G or 100M.

Purchased this to pass through Google Fiber 5 Gig speeds and it works as intended. 1 week after installing it though I started to hear a loud buzz coming from my PC. After doing some troubleshooting I figured out that it was the fan in this network card hitting one of it's own slightly loose wires underneath it. I was able to fix the issue by removing the card and pushing down on the wire to clear the fan. Leaving this here in case anybody else comes across the same issue.buzz whine buzzing whining loud noise sound vibrating vibrate vibration
