Installed on a 2019 BMW X3 after original plastic housing failed. Gasket stayed in place during install.

Use this to replace the junk plastic OEM version. Been 8 months and no issues since install.

I have to say I’m impressed with this replacement plastic housing that comes on the BMW F30 330i. My failed just like the others you see on YouTube. I choose to remove the computer and wheel well liner to replace mine so that I didn’t have to remove the intake manifold. Just be very careful when putting in the new screws. It’s easy to get them cross threaded because the angle it the motor. Take your time, this is not an easy fix, but it can be done with ramps and time. After putting everything back together I remember I needed to transfer over my oil filter just to find out this one already has the oil filter installed. Now the job is done and I won’t have to revisit this repair job like others will have to do since BMW has not fixed this defect on their plastic part. So happy to have found this one that fully aluminum and fits just like the original.
