I wanted to take my time and really test this stick. I use it with an insta360 X4 to capture 360 videos. the stick can extend from 3M (10ft) down to fully collapsed ~30cm (about 1ft), and many in between lengths that hold well. the stick is very sturdy and does not have a lot of flex even at full extension, and the base length is long enough to allow you to 2 hand the extended pole for more stability. this allows me to get really far away shots that appear as if I had a drone taking the shot. in a crowd I can get well above people while taking up no more room than my own person. the X4 has no issue sticking out the stick so I can move the camera around like a drone to get some really interesting shots. The locking mechanism is just twist friction lock. and that is the reason I wanted to take some time to put my review in. I wanted to test if the friction lock wears out faster than a first party version. after nearly 4 months of use the friction is still as quality as day one. this gets high high marks from me, and a full recommendation.

This is a very lightweight stick. It gives you so much length adjustment, it's amazing. The carbon fiber is very nice and looks great. You simply twist to unlock and pull to extend to desired length. The length is held by friction on the poles, I preferred for it to twist to lock somehow instead or some other mechanism. Nothing is stopping it from collapsing other than pulling it open hard enough to increase friction. Additionally it being so long and light weight, it will be susceptible to swaying when extended. It's a great pole if you keep it short and strong! Overall I am pleased with it! 8/10 recommend!

Got this to have a longer camera boom so I can get some deeper underwater footage and this will definitely help me do so.The carbon fiber sections are strong but a bit thin walled. And as others have said it is a bit more flexible than I would like but that seems to be only when the top section is extended which is the smallest diameter section. I love the care they took packaging this with a thread protection cap on the stud and including the mount and screw for an action camera's underwater case as well as the very nice storage bag that comes with it. The sections extend and retract very simply and easily with a twist and they secure in the collapsed position with a screw together coupler at ever 2nd section so it will extend roughly 2' at a time.I wouldn't have it fully extended when using for anything that will make a whip effect, the smallest top sections, are definitely flimsy compared to the rest of the sections but for regular use for distance ahofa it should work great.Time will tell how long it holds up and how actually using it as I intend will work out but I'm optimistic that I will be able to plunge my camera into some deeper water and get some nice underwater videos and pictures but my imagination is running wild with the possibilities of its potential

This 3m selfie stick is pretty decent. It's not amazing, but for the price, you get a lot of value out of it. For something like this which is made of carbon fiber, I'd expect it to be a lot pricier. But overall, the carbon fiber seems to be well made and works well in this. When collapsed, the tops of each section have a little threaded ring that secures the section in place. To extend, you unscrew the sections and then pull to the full length. This selfie stick simply uses friction to 'lock' the sections when extended. This works fine for the most part, but unlike the Insta360 sticks, it only locks at the very ends. You can't pull a section out half way and expect to use it like that. So in reality, since this selfie stick has only four sections, there's only ~5 different lengths you can use. The last section is also quite thin (only 9mm in diameter) but it is reasonably strong. The stick itself (at the base) is fairly thin. It's about 1" in diameter, making it just slightly bigger than the regular Insta360 stick, but also thinner than the Insta360 3m stick.
