I bought this six point CR-MO (Chrome Molybdenum) socket as opposed to a CR-V (chrome vanadium) socket because I intended to use it in my impact wrench and I wanted something capable of withstanding the heavy duty torque situations the impact wrench would deliver.I've only used this CR-MO socket a half dozen times and it's already showing signs of wear. In addition, this 1/2" socket keeps slipping off the 1/2" hog ring anvil which my impact wrench contains.Perhaps this socket would have performed better if my impact wrench had a detent style socket anvil?Overall, I'm not particularly excited about this socket.

Well I needed this to tighten a steering nut on a motorcycle. I thought I had one to fit it did not. I went to the local tooling stores and nobody had it. It was delivered quickly. It is high quality and it's impact ready. Although I don't need it to be an impact socket.
