It used the chassis of the M5 and had an open topped turret which was armed with a 75mm Howitzer and 12.7cm M2 machine gun. From September 1942 to January 1944, approximately 1,800 units were produced with the firstM8 seeing action from mid 1943. They were seen used at the Italian and North West European fronts as well as the Pacific Theater for fire support duties. Even after WWII, the M8 could be seen in service with the French army during the Indochina Wars.

No way to properly align starlink as the mount only allows the dish to sit flat

It's a little bulky but overall works as designed. The suction cups hold strongly but I would never trust them to hold the dish down at highway speeds! So I have a mount that is a quick release and the dish can separate without mush effort from the suction cups and base but what is the point, its suction cups, I would just remove those too. So the purpose I guess is lost on me. I am trying out various mounting systems for my mini dish and this seems well made but now that it's in hand, it's kind of a dumb concept. I could see if you permanently mounted the base then you snap the dish on and off for use. It does come with a curve in the base where you could mount it on a pole or railing. The hardware is good quality and the quick release works smoothly.

I'm kind of stuck with this one as I really had high hopes for being able to mount the Starlink Mini on my vehicles roof-top.The mount fits the Starlink Mini so securely that I had difficulty removing it, and I am not talking about the magnets-the mount that slides into the mini is extremely difficult to remove.So that could be a bonus for some and a con for others.I also noticed that it didn't appear to be a very precise fit but, I just don't feel comfy with it squeezed onto the Mini.I'll be returning & most likely going with an interior mount for my sunroof.
