As far as your basic use goes this multimeter seems to meet all the requirements. It can do more than I know how to do with it. It does not come with a manual, I think that there is one you can download although most symbols and functions are standard enough you can probably just google what you want to know how to do also. It comes with leads and also a thermocouple if you need to check temperature. Two rubberized protective cases so you can pick whether you like red or yellow better. I have a lot of red items so I picked yellow to make it stand out. The first use that I put it to was trouble shooting some car headlights that didn't want to function correctly - only the high beams would work. Checking fuses with continuity and then checking the wiring. You have to supply your own batteries and that's fine, I would rather put good batteries in it to start than have some very cheap batteries that won't last shipped with it.

So far, this has been a decent meter. Compared to other meters I own, it seems to be on par in terms of accuracy and speed. I like the probes, they seem to conduct well and come with covers that allow only the very end of the tips to be exposed to prevent accidental grounding. The model I ordered also came with a thermocouple probe to check temperatures. The layout is pretty standard when compared to most other multimeters on the market with a rotary dial to select function and a series of buttons to change mode and freeze numbers. It also has a fairly bright backlight that makes it much easier to read the screen. It comes in a yellow protective case that not only protects the meter but also has slots on the back for storage of the probes. Interestingly, a second, red, case is included in the box although I'm not sure why.In terms of issues, there aren't any major ones, just a couple of things to note. 1) It does not come with batteries. 2) There is no user manual included in the box. There is a QR code on the back that presumably allows you to download one (I have not done this yet). 3) Unless you have a need to measure temperatures with your meter, the additional $10 for the thermocouple probe option is probably not necessary.Overall, this meter has, so far, been fairly accurate and quick to pull a reading. Compared to other, more expensive, meters I currently own, this thing seems to work just as well for common household use. If you're in need of a decent little meter, this one could definitely be right up your alley. My only suggestion for you, assuming you're considering buying one, is to consider purchasing the non-thermometer version and save $10.

My "go-to" meter for the last 20 years has been a Fluke 73. It has done duty in the US Navy, assisted while installing telecommunications equipment, and now helps around the house. Its showing its age and time to upgrade. Well, that and my daughter needs a meter! The first meter I received I thought was defective. When doing a basic continuity test resistance readings were all over the place. The issue went away when I changed batteries and swapped to my Fluke leads. Customer support was great and I had a replacement meter in no time. The 2nd meter had the same issue, and I believe the culprit is some sort of film on the meter leads. With a bit of pressure, and rubbing the leads together, the meter reads zero ohms. Sorry Ziboo for doubting you!The Ziboo 17B PRO has more functions than I'll ever use, but it'll be nice if my needs grow in the future. I've already used it to test resistance, AC, and DC voltage. When compared side-by-side with my Fluke they're nearly identical. The yellow part is a hard rubber cover. It will protect against drops on the back and sides, but not the face. The meter is powered by 3x AA batteries and has two fuses. Both are accessible by a single Phillips #1 screw on the back. It looks like one fuse is for 1000V 500mA and the other 1000V 10A.Conclusion: Do I recommend this meter? Absolutely. Only you know if it has all the functions you require, but it certainly meets my needs plus more. I can also confirm if you have issues with the order Ziboo, working with Amazon, will resolve them without fuss. This is my new daily driver and the Fluke gets passed down a generation.

The ZIBOO 17B PRO is a modest cost, portable multi meter that just about does it all.I like meters. I've bought and used many meters over the years, from bench top VTVMs to todays mini multi styles, and one thing that I always look for is accuracy. Sure, a cheap little gimme from a tool store is not going to be great, but for 12 volt work on a car they're OK. When I'm measuring long line resistance in cables or critical AC trouble shooting, having a meter that can provide confidence in readings is important. So far in my testing of this meter I've found it to be mostly spot on in comparison to my bench meters and portable RMS multi meter.I've check mains voltage and frequencies, DC voltages and DC resistance on a variety of components and in every instance this meter displayed true values. Out of circuit capacitance readings were consistent with the stated values. I have not fully tested the meter on all the various types of caps but so far this has been good for sorting. The meter can measure frequency with a single probe and when doing a simple check of mains voltage it displayed correctly when compared to my bench FQ meter. The meter offers quite a few modes of operation including non contact AC voltage presence. One can check a wall for AC lines or cables for live voltage without using the probes. The included temperature bead is very useful for circuit trouble shooting among more obvious uses. The small bead can be placed directly on an IC or other component and check for excessive heat. Very handy if one can't afford a FLIR device. (me)The meter has recording abilities with latch, hold and min/max display. The meter can utilize a Fluke style clamping amp-probe for high current testing.Included with the meter are very low resistance probes with cat4/cat3 isolation tips.In the battery compartment (4 AAs, not included) one will find proper fuses for the two current legs of the meter. The display is large and high resolution. The backlight times out but can be re lit with a dedicated button. The audible beep is fairly loud which is great for no look continuity or other go/no-go measurements. All of the functions are easy to find, no deep levels of menus to navigate. The rotary dial has a crisp click to it so no hunting for a function. The kit came with a full second outer case which is somewhat odd, but a nice option to differentiate from one's other meters. I have a few yellow ones so I opted for red. The case should provide a decent amount of protection from moderate shock or falls. A little thin but much better than nothing.I could go on and on, but suffice to say, I was impressed by this meter especially at it's price point and recommend it for field or bench use when more that just kinda sorta values are needed. And that's no fluke.

Good meter with good accuracy and build quality. It has Good safety protection with accessible fuses. Very good meter for the money.
