My 7 year old Roomba went under the bed about 7 months ago, and never came out. Frankly, I forgot about it after a few days of longingly gazing at the empty charging dock in my bedroom. While changing out my winter clothes for the spring stuff I had in containers under my bed, I happened upon Dead Roomba last weekend. I tried to charge it but got the dreaded "Error 13" meaning the battery was toast. I thought, "well, it had a good life" and was resigned to send it to the great dirty carpet in the sky until I learned the battery is replaceable! A quick browse to Amazon, and I found this battery. It came with almost everything needed for the battery transplant surgery including a surprisingly readable instruction manual that doesn't have a single word about how to actually install the battery (why I took a star off). I had to go to YouTube to find a video but it turns out to be super easy. In the first picture, you'll see the underside of my Roomba with red arrows pointing to the screws you need to remove (the kit comes with the screwdriver). Depending upon your model, you might have 5 screws instead of my 4, but just unscrew them. They won't come all the way out, just lift up on the cover as you go to tell if you get them all the way out or not. Then just remove the cover, lift the old battery out with the tape straps, set the new battery in, replace the cover, tighten the screws, and you're done. It took less than 3 minutes. The battery came about 60% charged so about 30 seconds after I put Roomba back on its charging base, it beeped and took off to execute the 7 months of missed scheduled cleanings. It did make it back to base and is happily recharging right now. I haven't had it long enough to speak to the reliability or endurance of the pack but so far it's been flawless. I'll come back in 6 months or so and update this. BTW, there is a good video on YT about how to rebuild your factory Roomba battery pack much cheaper but you have to be a little handy. This was worth the money.

I have an almost 6 year old 690 series Roomba with the original battery, and this fits perfectly.Real easy to replace this battery. There is a 3 pronged brush on the bottom that has 1 screw in the middle holding it in. Take that screw out and remove that brush. There are 4 more screws to remove in order to take the base off, remove those and lift the base off the bottom. The battery is basically just sitting there, it is not wedged in or screwed down, it is simply sitting there. There are a couple of springs that make the electrical connections, no other clips to remove.Simply pull up on the tabs at the ends of the battery to remove the battery. Now place your new battery in the case. The shape of how it is made means you can't put it in backwards or sideways.Put screws back into the base and brush. The procedure took maybe 3 minutes to accomplish. This new battery seems to last a lot longer than the original battery was lasting recently.

I'm impressed with this battery. I installed this in my 670 and he's back to running over 2 hours. This is the same capacity that came in the Roomba, from the factory, and it runs the same. Some batteries claim larger capacity and don't live up to the numbers. This is your basic Roomba battery and it does exactly what it's supposed to. No outrageous claims, just a good running battery. We'll see how long it lasts, and if it falls short, I'll certainly be back to update. For now, I'm pleased. The price is comparable as well.

Perfect replacement battery for my Roomba 899 (800 series). Super easy to install and comes with little screwdriver to help. Anyone can do this. Fresh battery made a big difference in how long my older Roomba lasts each day. Fit exactly as expected and charged great. It put the longer life zoom in my roombie buddy.

I've heard that Roomba batteries typically last around 2 to 3 years. Having owned my Roomba for about 2.5 years, I know its current battery is likely due for a replacement soon. I found a replacement battery on Amazon and ordered it so I would have one ready when the original battery goes kaput. The battery arrived well-packaged in bubble wrap and came with a screwdriver and instruction booklet. While the instructions contained a lot of information about the battery, they didn't include installation instructions. However, installing the battery wasn't hard, but I did refer to a YouTube video just to make sure I was doing it correctly. After installing the RJDJSOO Roomba battery, I tested it. So far, it's performing well. I ran a 60-minute schedule that I had programmed, and it lasted for the entire duration on a single charge. Only time will tell how reliable this replacement battery will be.
