I ordered this light canopy kit to install two plug-in light fixtures to make it appear that they are connected to an electrical box in the ceiling. These are perfect and came with all the items needed to install them. Because they need to accommodate a wire from under the cover plate, to go across the ceiling then down to the outlet on the wall, I had to use a drill to make a hole on the side. They were a perfect solution. This kit was an inexpensive way to improve the way the hanging fixtures look.

Review of - 2 Packs Light Canopy Kit, Chandelier Ceiling Light Fixture Cover Plate, Ceiling Light Kit with All Mounting Hardware for Pendant Lighting Fixtures (Black, 10cm)I used one of these to help mount a track light that I ordered. The spot where I wanted to mount it has a round electrical box, but the track light didn’t come with anything to cover the box. This canopy kit came in handy to cover the box, but I did have to drill two holes in it for the mounting screws to go through. It looks good and you can’t see the electrical box.

I used this canopy kit to replace an old ceiling light fixture, and while it got the job done, there were some drawbacks. The canopy is made of very thin sheet metal, which was disappointing since the product listing described it as being made of a thicker material. Due to its delicate nature, you need to handle it carefully during installation to avoid bending or denting it. The kit includes mounting hardware, making the installation process straightforward. Once installed, it stays in place and looks good. However, given the lightweight construction, I would recommend using it only with light fixtures that aren’t too heavy, as it might not be able to support significant weight. Overall, it works for light-duty applications but falls short of the sturdiness I expected.

I jumped on these because I have to hang some pendants in a spot right up against a wall. The usual 4-5" one would not fit. These are only 3" and will do the job! They come with a compression gland and a mounting strap in U-form. The mounting strap is pretty thin and that's why I took of one star. Still I think that it will work as long as the lamps are not heavy (mine aren't) and I'm happy I found these problem solvers.
