It's not as thick as I thought it was going to be ,but you can put padding under it and it works great.

Bought this mat to use both in our hexagon play yard as well as just use in the living room for tummy time. The material is nice and it’s a great size! The only complaint as others have mentioned is it very thin. We have hardwood floors and this probably isn’t going to be enough cushion alone. We’ll still use it for sure, but if you’re looking for something with padding, I’d either be ready for another mat underneath or buy another product.

Fits in our portable play yard perfectly for the football field! Very easy to wash and dry and very cute pattern!
