The posts in the center of the mounting side of these caps is 5.5mm diameter, and won’t fit any of my 20XX extrusions, which have 4.2mm center holes.On doing some searching, I see that some extrusions DO have 5.0mm holes, and presumably these end caps will fit those. But attempting to get them into the seemingly more standard 4.2mm holes just results in mashed up posts.The seller really should specify the post size compatibility, to save on returns.

These are effectively one time use end caps. The pin has slight grooving on it, and the grooves compress when fitting onto the extrusion, to make for a tighter fit.I usually print end caps with a 3d printer - they are useful for covering up the sharp edges on the extrusions.This is a nice convenient pack to have when building frames quickly.One point of caution - measure the center hole on your 2020 extrusions - I found some of mine are 4mm, and some are 5mm. These end caps measure out at 5.5mm (They have a slight grooving going on around the center pin, so fit very snugly on the extrusion.)In the pic, the aluminum colored extrusion has a center hole of 4mm, and the end caps don't fit. The black extrusion has a center hole of 5mm, and the end caps fit nicely, covering up all the sharp edges.

I love these -- using them with a recently purchased batch of 48-inch black-anodized rails, and they provide clean smooth closure for the exposed ends. This is especially nice when they have those shiny fresh cuts with carbide blade marks, not to mention general safety around sharp edges. No sanding or other tidying - just a nice professional look.There is a decent interference fit -- I was wondering how this would work. They push on firmly, and can be tapped down with a light hammer or screwdriver handle, flush with the edges. There is a little projection that helps align them, and they don't fall off or require any adhesives.Basically, this is a perfect solution to the close-out problem when dealing with 2020, and is a welcome addition to my kit of frame-building parts.

These fit perfectly on some of the 2020 aluminum extrusion I am working with for mounting some of the accessories to my sim racing rig. It's important to cover up those sharp corners so people don't cut themselves. Very happy with the product. Good price too. It also stays in play pretty well, but still can be removed if needed. Easy recommendation.
