Purchased these to make cold brew coffee. They work great for that purpose. I clean them as soon as the cold brew is done and they clean up very nicely. They fit perfectly in the half gallon mason jars, which is why I purchased them.

Bought 1st set in November. It arrived with sealing circles. 5 stars.Reordered 3 more sets in December. 0 sealing circles.Disappointed.

The mesh is the right size for a regular grind coffee. This is for half gallon mason jars and while it didn't seem like it held enough coffee for as dark of a brew as I like the coffee came out very nice and rich. Plan to pour the water in slowly, it takes a bit to saturate the coffee and have the water strain, small price to pay for a rich tasting cold brew. The mesh is easy to clean, but a cheap toothbrush may be helpful.

I bought a couple of big hot/cold carafes with removable strainers to make tea. The strainers were metal with holes and a plastic knob to screw in at the top for removal. The strainers' holes were too small and it took forever to pour the boiling water in. Then trying to screw a plastic knob over the steaming opening was painfully impractical resulting in the strainer falling back into the carafe and splashing. I took a chance and bought these 3 mesh beauties. They fit the carafe openings perfectly. They filter out even the leaf bits that usually accumulate at the bottom. The water flows through the mesh without hindrance. The only tricky part was removing the strainer full of hot wet tea leaves . . . I tied a cotton string to use like a sling with a loop around the strainer and a loop on either side to pull up on. After emptying the leaves, the strainers go into the dishwasher. PERFECT.
