I just got them today, and accomplished more in 2 hours than I had accomplished in a day or two using various Makita and Harbor Freight belts. I got the 24 belt package with 6ea of 40, 60, 80, and 120 grit. I used two of the 40 grit belts to remove paint, rust, and pits from one of several military surplus steel fire resistant doors by Warnock Hersey that I bought in rough shape about 20 years ago. The edges of the door had torn up at least 6 or 8 belts with other brands, so sand one side of the 36x84 inch super heavy steel door. I finished doing the other side with just 2 of these belts. The grit is still fine, it's just that between catching sharp edges of the door, and my using a 40 year old Craftsman 3x21 sander that simply has almost zero clearance between belt and guard, I nicked the belts and they jammed. Other brands completely tore up the belt when the same thing happened. So, I will just cut up the belts and use them on a pad sander or sanding block for other things.I'm very happy with the belts, and got a great enough price on them to buy more than I needed, in case I tore through bunches of them as expected, which did not happen. The other grit sizes should do even better, because with the extremely small clearance on my sander, and the very beefy 40 grit belt, I was doing something that was almost inadvisable using such a huge grit on such a non-pro sander on such a difficult thing I was sanding, rough rusty steel. It was begging for trouble, and I got away with it. Which saved me a lot of time, because it would take forever using say 80 grit, to remove the rust and reduce the pits.

The blue sanding belts are better than red sanding belts.

I have now been using these for about 3 weeks and I am very pleased with their performance.I have used the Home Depot Diablo belts and I think these are just as good. I don't think they're any better though. The price is much lower so I recommend these. You get a lot of belts so you won't be buying any more for awhile if you're a DIY guy like me.They run smoothly and there are no bumps where the belt is fused.I like them a lot and I'm glad I got them.

Zirconia performs better for sanding belts and other sanding products. It seems to last longer, clog less, and in this case, the price isn't any more than the more common aluminum oxide version. I have a bench top belt sander and also a portable belt sander that uses this size. The grit is printed on the back for easy identification and it's interesting because they say these are bi-directional, and that's different than a lot of other sanding belts out there. Best of all, the price on these per belt is very low. I don't know how they're able to sell these at this price, but I'm glad that they do. Very good sanding belts, and very happy with them.

These belts help me get into the tight spaces my other grinders can't reach. The belts work great on metal, but they wear down quick. I wouldn't expect a long lifespan on any brand given the concentrated force in a small belt. I'll keep a good supply of these on hand from now on.
