This is my second unit (different seller) and this one worked great. It arrived promptly and so far does everything it's supposed too.One thing I will mention is before it ever fitted mine I took and ran a fingernail around the tip of the connector plug housing (make sure not to touch the prongs though) to check for excess Plastics or plastic burs. They can make fitting that plug a nightmare (learned from different manufacturers first one). This one had a little tiny buy but not much and easy to remove/smooth. Do not knife or torch this if it's there... that'll just make it worse unless your a pro. I'm not knocking the part for this though as it's aftermarket and tiny things are sorta to be expected... Dont want them, feel to lay the 450-500for an OEM part through Mercedes. Other than thst it was great but instructions are in German. You can find directions online in English. One thing no instructions English or German (i translated to make sure) explain is what it means to make sure the clutch is completely closed. I found a vid that said to pull the e brake, place the car in reverse (missing part) from there turn key to off whike in R and wait a minute, disconnect the negative battery. Jacking up the rear drivers side w the rear wheel off gives much more room also. Disconnect the wire clip (easier once unscrewed for me). Take out the 3 bolts, 2 face the ground one faces the front of the car. Take out old unit. The new unit *should* be in a *load* position. I hope you didn't tinker with it. Place the unit up back into the clutch housing and loosely put screws back in. Reconnect the actuator wiring. The ground facing side of the clutch actuator screw nearest the clutch housing will have slotted grooves. Push in the actuator to the 3rd groove and tighten the screws. Reconnect the battery, wait a minute and turn the car off. (Reconnecting the battery will start the radio and light the dash). Turn the car back on, wait for any noises but not started, wait for any noises to stop (i didnt have any till the car is fully on). run the car through all gears wait for noise to stop and then a few seconds between switching and watch for the dash to show the gear change. Now start the car and with repeat this. This time you should feel the gears engage more and may hear more noise. Again wait a little longer after the noise changes before moving on. Also you should see the gears change on dash as well. Initially start up my park to reverse showed N for a couple seconds before moving to R. This is normal and why we are waiting. Do this through N, D and 1 ahd back up to P, waiting each time. If at any point the R or D only goes to N and never changes, then either the Actuator is bad, the TMS is bad or something in your wiring. If all work but moving the shifter fills stiff then then your grooved screw placement is most likely pushed too far into the clutch slot. If you hear load clunking when shifting gears this is the same case. If you hear long cycling and dash changes very slow on ever gear or remains in N then you may not hsve the grooves far enough in. (Older clutches w more wear may seat at 4 or 5 groove lines and may indicate the clutch swing arm itself is going out or bad). If everything else work good but the shifting still feels a bit tight you can also a little lithium grease into a tube w a little yellow cap just in front of (from rear facing the front of the car) the back right corner of the air filter box there is a gear in that and much like the actuators they don't come w much grease on them so some times srpaying a little lithoum.grease in there can help the shifts smoothen out. Hope this helps someone else who's been looking for answer or help people not have to deal w the same level of frustration I and others have had w this process.
