I can't express enough the importance of using a face mask. It protects your lungs when doing simple things like painting, woodworking or anything that emits harmful particulates. Eye protections is also a must but if you want to keep your lungs safe, 3M makes some of the best products.

I keep a couple of these in my car and carry one in my carry-on when traveling. Accidents happen, fumes are released. Oh, and there's usually some kind of bug going around that you don't want to get. The N100 designation means that it filters out 100% of contagions. These fit better and are more comfortable than the N95s. Its exhalation valve also means that your glasses or goggles won't fog up.

They work as intended, they are easy to breath in, the ear loops make them easy to put on and take off compared to the ones with a band around the head.
