I thought I was going to have to replace my microwave when it stopped working. I checked out YouTube U and found several willing souls who showed what might be wrong and how to fix it. My fuse was bad, so replace it and it worked about two times and killed the fuse. But the video stated if this happened then you needed to replace the door switches (you need to make sure you get both the 'normally open' & 'normally shut'). Was not difficult to do on my over-the-stove microwave. So happy I did not have to replace it!!!

I bought the new microwave 14 months ago, the microwave stop working. After replacing one switch, the microwave immediately works again. So happy! The price is very good too.

the original switches get greased up after three years or so. normally the service technician recommends a whole new microwave. somewhere between $300 and $700 depending. four of these switches cost under $10. now time will tell if the switches are a bargain. it took me about 2 hours, and very little expertise, to remove the old ones and install the new ones. so far so good.

Installed one of the switches a few days ago on my Fridgidaire Gallery microwave, and have opened/closed the door countless times since, so far no issue. Definitely worth having spare’s on hand as you will replace this switch again at some point. This is my microwaves 3rd switch in 3 years, first replacement was purchased from another supplier and was only a single switch and cost $10 more. Also arrived way faster than the expected delivery date.
