Installed these in my 2007 LG WM2277HW. First bearing set replacement in 18 years of operation. Excellent fit. They appear to be higher quality than the OEM bearings, but only time will tell. Happy for now, as the washing machine runs great (and quietly) again.

Knew it needed new bearings because the washer sounded loud when operating. Sound reminded me of a bad a/c clutch and/or belt tensioner on car engine. Not a squeak. More like a churning, grinding, whirring sound. EZ to remove and install from the drum once removed. Removing the drum is a 20 minute video on YouTube. Took me a couple hours a day for 3 days. Used a large ratchet ( and large socket ) to remove the old bearing. The proper way to install the new bearing is to place the new bearing in place. Put the old bearing on top of the new bearing. Put a piece of flat wood on top of the old bearing and firmly wack it in the center of the wood. The new bearing will go in. I didn’t use any grease and in a worn old washer (worst case scenario) it went in. Make sure it’s going in level. I hit it in till it would go no more. Putting washer back together was much quicker than taking it apart. Washer back in full service and quiet again. I did have to replace the water pump on this lg front loader a year ago. I recommend you do that at the same time if you can. Also. Mine had an odor since I had purchased it used at an auction. While I had it apart I discovered that the smell was coming from between the spider and the part of tub that holds the bearings. A simple light cleaning of that removed all odor. Washer now smells brand new. Also, if you’ve got the time, clean the large rubber gasket, between the door and tub. Unfolded, hidden inside, it reveals mold. Take care.Update; bought and installed this a couple years ago. Saved me almost a grand buying a new machine. Not sure I mentioned. It did take a couple days in my time out of work to do. The hard part was removing the old bearing. Being bad. It had gotten hot. Anywho. I’ve discovered that the bearings began to fail after I washed weighted blankets in the machine. Only full size. I realize this. For soon after I put one in the washer. It started grinding again. I’ll gladly buy another of these bearings. To repair the grinding sound. And take my weighted blankets to the cleaners from now on. Some laundry mats specify certain machines for weighted blankets. I’d assume for this exact reason.Definitely keep any YouTube video, of the swap, open, while your doing the swap. Keep your phone charged in case it takes a while.Overall:The bearing worked great for a few years. Think it was $30 compared to replacement of the machine for between $700-$1000. Only real cost was. The labor. At my rate of pay would have been about $300 in 8-9 billable hours. And partly because removing the old one was difficult. Not impossible.I have a little experience in car engine r and r. Read a lot of a Chilton manuals. And learned tricks in the field. That helped me remove the bearing. Some guys use torches to heat it to make removal quicker. Wasn’t necessary and I have stories about guys using fire that didn’t end well. IE: A guy using a stick with a rag soaked in gas on the end. Because there was no light in a crawl space under a house. ;-0 Tomb raider under your house. Always keep an eye on people in or around your house. Real story.Have a wonderful day!

Excellent product. I had gone through replacing these bearings on an LG direct drive washer just 13 months ago and here I was doing the same thing. This is a ***HARD*** job. While YouTube has excellent resources, the amount of effort to get the old bearing out is totally trivialized. Getting the bearing out - by far the most difficult part of the repair - is almost beyond description. It took hours of pounding - relentlessly - on a suitable object (I finally used a metal T-bar fence-post to get it out). It took a heavy sledge before it finally gave way and released its steely grip. I was almost at the point of junking the machine and getting a new one; however, it was quite satisfactory to hear the results. By hearing the results, I'm implying that there was NOTHING to hear. The result is indeed quieting.
