The stones arrive disassembled in a plastic box with a stem, two washers, and bolt for each grinding wheel. If shipped in an "envelope" you may find that the plastic box could be damaged (see photo), but that damage does not compromise the grinding stones and parts. Very easy to assemble each unit as needed. I have used these stones on lawn mower blades with good success. With a dab of screw lock fluid, there has been no problem with the wheel loosening during use. These wheels seem to grind better than the specialized accessories labeled for grinding mower blades. I am using these wheels with an 18V cordless hand drill.

Easy to assemble (as you would expect) and you're ready to go. I've got a couple of bench grinders that I use regularly, but here recently I've needed something I could use in my drill as well. I've never bought this type before because I'm already vision-impaired and I didn't want to take any changes on a piece of loose grit flying into an eye. However, I recently bought a heavy-duty pair of goggles that are relatively comfortable and I'm no longer so concerned about my eyes. I give this as a WARNING: Don't use these or wire brushes in your drill w/o serious eye protection. NEVER take a chance with your eyes!!!
