The melting point of the solder is higher that then advertised, which causes the whole product to provide a less than acceptable end result.

worked as expected for sealing and attaching my well's submissible pump power cables. i always worry about them leaking by and also applied additional Heat Shrink as a precaution so i never expect these to fail.

I used these for ws2811 Christmas lights, adding waterproof connectors. They heat up very quickly and the connection is solid. They function perfectly and there is no resistance. It is very much worth it for the money because I can easily use a whole bag. They are tight on the cables and will never slip off.

These connectors are as described and they pretty much do what it says. The connectors build is fine and the adhesive rings seal well. My only concern with this kind of connectors are the quality of the contact itself. Anyone of us who use soldering and electronics know the issues in soldering, clean wire/surface, flux and uniform heat distribution and a nice flow and wetting of the solder on surface. In this case most of those conditions cannot be controlled and I do not see a nice solder flow. This tells me I will use this only when I don't have an option to solder and heat shrink a contact. This is the limitation of this technology and not this product, so this product works fine as expected. Use of little no-clean flux sometime helps, but make your decision because it all depends on your use case.

These connectors are a good alternative to crimp connectors.I have nothing against crimp connectors. But sometimes, you need an inline connector that is easy to use and waterproof.I have such requirements.UseI have an outdoor cable whose connectors failed.I have spliced in a cable with connectors, which has fixed the problem. Because the cable will be outdoors, the connection must be waterproof.In the past, I would have soldered the wires together and then used heat shrink tubing to seal the connection.This is a faster way to do the same thing.It took a little time to master twisting the wires and inserting them into the connector.But once in the connector, using a heat gun to seal the connection took a few minutes.The kit comes with a range of connectors. So, finding the right fit is easy.So far, everything is working fine.And for the price, you can’t go wrong.
