Intro and DescriptionI have been doing quilling for many years. It was actually one of the first crafts I began doing over 20 years ago. In those days there were no such things as “Quilling Towers” (or "Quilling Buddy" as they are sometimes called), so when I saw these, initially I wasn’t sure how they would work. However, after a quick internet search, I was soon up and running !This set, by Pssopp includes 5 quilling towers in all the shapes you could possibly need :-The orange one is for triangle shapes.The pink is for square shapes.The green is for circular shapes.The blue is for ellipse (leaf) shapes.And the bright pink is for teardrop shapes.Each tower has 12 gradients to enable you to make different sized shapes.Opinion:These are a fabulous invention for anyone who enjoys the art of quilling. The set features every shape you could possibly need.To use you simply select the shape you wish to create, then select the size you require. You then start to roll your quilling paper around the tower to create the desired shape.There are several tips which will help you you :-Firstly, it is a good idea to number the layers on each tool -a) to save you keep counting them, andb) to ensure you get the same sized shape each time.Secondly, I found it better to apply small dots of glue each time I wrapped the quilling paper around, and it makes your final shape more secure and stable. This is especially important on the larger sizes.Thirdly, make sure you align your papers to the ridge because once glued down, you won’t be able to “pat them down” flat once they are off the tool.The designs and shapes you make can be used for flower petals, leaves, or just geometric shapes. I like to use some of the smaller designs for making jewellery, but I also use them as toppers for greetings cards.Thank you for reading, and I hope you found my review helpful. Happy crafting !
