It's a decent controller over all, but I'm limiting my rating to 2 stars because they advertise "Hall Effect joy sticks" in the listing and this controller does not contain those! That was my primary interest in buying this in the first place. This controller has ALPS potentiometers in them, not Hall Effect modules, so expect stick drift to eventually occur.

Producto bien construido de plásticos de buena calidad e instrucciones claras.El mayor problema es que al jugar, la cruz de flechas direccionales no funciona igual que un control original de Nintendo del que se inspiran, es imposible mantener presionada la flecha derecha o izquierda sin que el control active la flecha de arriba o abajo, lo que lleva a que el juego tome las direcciones diagonales sin que uno quiera presionar diagonal sino recto hacia alguna de las direcciones.Ese problema de presionar diagonales sin la intención del jugador sólo se puede arreglar usando cinta de circuitos (cinta de PCBs o también llamada kapton tape) para cubrir ciertas partes de los contactos dentro del control. En otros sitios web se pueden encontrar instrucciones para esta modificación.

I bought this controller so I could better enjoy games on my iPhone, MacBook, Gaming PC (both for PC games and use with emulators for vintage games), and take it to game parties at my friends house or a bar that mainly play games on a Nintendo Switch (Mario Party, Kart, Smash Bros., etc). The size is perfect and true to SNES style and weighs less than a small iPhone. The battery life and functionality are impressive. I am considering buying another more to have as a second controller for a guest and as gifts for friends that enjoy video games. I do like that. It will turn itself off if it is not in use for an extended period of time and will automatically reconnect if booted up in the proper mode. Additionally I like that it turns itself off when I shut down the computer it’s paired to.Read the instructions carefully as different modes are for different types of devices. If using it on a PC, be sure that when it appears in your Bluetooth devices that are discoverable, it appears as “8bitdo pro controller” and not as “pro controller”. I noticed when I had paired it to my gaming PC as “pro controller” it did not have support for vibration and limited functionality for joysticks, when I connected it properly as “8bitdo pro controller” it had full compatibility, just keep in mind and that for some PC games, the bindings will be referencing lettered buttons as if it had Xbox bindings/button assignment (so B will be A, A is B, and so on). It is very easy to switch modes on it but takes a little memory, if you’re only using it on one device and you shouldn’t have no issue once you set it up properly.
