I have an old MacBook which I haven't used in a while as the battery would last less than 30 minutes. Apple charge a fortune for upgrading and mending MacBooks so I thought I would give it a go myself and ordered this replacement battery set.The pack arrived nicely boxed and comes with the tools needed to do the job. Whilst this wasn't the easiest job I have ever done and can be a little scary when prising open the case (you feel like you are going to break something!) with the help of some online tutorial videos I managed to get the battery replaced without issue. I now have a useable MacBook again with a refreshed and fully working battery. You should only purchase this if you are confident you can do the work but if you do this will actually save you a lot of money over getting this done by Apple or an independent specialist.If you are willing and able to do the work yourself I would recommend this kit as it comes with a new battery and tools to help with the job and at £58.99 this is cheaper than an OEM battery.

My 2017 MacBook Pro battery was basically dead so I needed to replace it. This kit contains ALMOST everything you need. They don't include rubbing alcohol so make sure you have some before you start this battery replacement. The instructions in this kit are really good. This battery replacement took me slightly less than 1 hour from start to finish. After using this kit my MacBook runs great off of the new battery.

This is a great DIY kit to replace the battery in an older MacBook Pro that Apple doesn’t support anymore. I really appreciate that it comes with all the tools you need as well, since Apple tends to use weird tools that I don’t use for anything else. The guide is very helpful and while it is straightforward if you are comfortable playing around in the guts of a computer, it’s probably not for someone who isn’t familiar with the internals. The battery seems to be working fine so far, I don’t think the life is quite as good as the original but it definitely helps get a bit more life from this MacBook

Replaced an ageing unit that struggled to hold charge. Took a bit of patience fitting everything in, but the instructions helped and I got it sorted without needing to call anyone. First full charge held strong, and it’s been consistently reliable since. No overheating, no strange behaviour, and the percentage reads steady. I’ve run it through several full cycles now without problems. It powers through a workday without needing a midday top-up, which wasn’t the case before. No random shutdowns or drop-offs either. The tools included were decent enough, didn’t need anything extra. Was expecting some fiddly bits but everything lined up. It’s just doing what it should, which is all I wanted really. No fancy claims, just stable power and no more battery anxiety when I’m working away from a charger.

After my MacBook Pro 13-inch began shutting down prematurely, I swapped in this new battery. The replacement was simple, and I noticed an immediate improvement in runtime. I can now manage longer work sessions without the worry of finding a power outlet. This upgrade has brought a renewed sense of reliability to my laptop and lets me work in a more relaxed manner throughout the day.
