The way the description was written these REMOVE static. Couldn’t be further from the truth but I’m not sure that they were designed to do that. They didn’t “add” static but definitely didn’t remove it

EFFECTIVE! Trusted brand. Soft, smooth polyester wipes created for more professional applications. For all your anti-static needs. Great with some tools, and all computer and electrical equipment. Those sots where excess (or any) static can be a determent to the process or the instrument. YET can be used for low level wiping too. Works disturbingly well to wipe my phone, keyboard, computer screen, and even glasses. I can see the dust and dirt on the wipe. I havent used it with liquids or other solvents. Clean room approved, and this brand is brand I trust for clean room needs. I dont have much use for this stuff anymore, but I use it at home. I have my husband who works in a lab (wet and powder) that can attest to effectiveness and appropriateness around and with instruments.Ultra lightweight, super stretchy. NOT cheap. Made of high-quality virgin polyester fibers with conductive carbon yarns (dark lines throughout the wipers) that are continuously filamented throughout the no-run knit construction process. I worked in a cleanroom for one summer as a pickup job between school in Canada. The cleanroom made what's called crash stops for the mechanical versions of hard drives. Any small particles on these devices could corrupt data on the hard drive internals. The room had a positive directional airflow that ran into a large Hepa filter, and we dressed in antistatic suits, booties, and wore headdress and masks.While I don't work there anymore, or have the need for that level of clean, these are great for cleaning my glasses and other glass surfaces that pick-up dust. My large screen TVs tend to collect this on the screen, and I hesitate to use sprays or liquid cleaners on them, to these seem to do a nice job picking up the dust and not leaving streaks or smears behind. My laptop and desktop computer screen are similar in that I like to get the dust clear and keep the screen clean. I've typically used microfiber cloths for this, but these are similar and don't leave any dust, they are disposable as well, so I don't have to launder them.I've taken to using them with my BiPAP machine as well to clean inside of the mask which tends to get somewhat dusty. I normally use an Ozone based device to keep the mask clean, so I don't use soap and water as much, but it does not remove some of the dusty residue, and I find myself breathing it in periodically when I use the mask. I clean them with special wipes, but these do the job well, and are less expensive. A good product especially for glass surfaces of all kinds. Recommended.

I do a decent amount of electronics repair of older gear, so the idea of a wipe that was ESD friendly seemed beneficial.Cloth-wise, these are akin to T-shirt material, fairly thin, but absorbent to solvents and cleaners. I tried them out on an amplifier board that was nearly 30 years old, and had leaky capacitor issues. It worked as expected to clean up oxidation and remnants on the board. I was wondering though if the lines in the cloth really served a purpose.I put a meter on them, and found they do conduct, at around 3 Megaohm. They only conduct on the line (and not across them), so it really seems that there's a lightly conductive matter sewn into the cloth. I presume this serves to distribute build up of static back to ground (likely the person holding it.).It's nice to have a cloth that is apparently safer ESD-wise especially for doing cleanup on sensitive parts, I'm glad to have these.

You can never have too many cleanroom wipes. Its just a fact. And AAWipes have established themselves as a leader in that regard. These 6"x 6" wipes come in a vacuum sealed package of 100pcs.I use these for a wide range of things, but mostly for cleaning my camera and lenses, as well as my resin printer and the vat. These are truly lint free and result in a smudge free clean that is gentle on sensitive surfaces.Recommended.
