Used on 2013 Cadillac ATS. I don't know if the original had failed or not, but one of the tabs was broken and this was cheap enough to replace the whole thing.

So I needed this for my Cadillac ATS. The old valve was original and I think it was leaking or not working right. The old one is pretty difficult to get off. You have to pry it off, and the plastic will break. Just make sure to get the plastic that broke out of the PCV valve hole. I used a needle nose pliers. Then I put some clean oil in the new PCV valve and pushed down. It popped right into place. Pretty easy install. Fits well and works good for now.

When you pry the old PCV off the top of the cam cover on the LTG engine (ATS, Camaro 2.0T, Malibu LTZ 2.0, etc...) it breaks the old PCV apart. Also, it is difficult to slip in a coupler tool to remove the PCV hose. The old PCV hose will tend to shatter at the plastic elbow, requiring a new PCV hose! In order to remove the old PCV hose at the turbo, you need a 5mm hex to remove the actual metal fitting bolted to the turbo. Overall, it is a rather overly complex process to perform a simple task.
