This tube works great! DO NOT Buy a variable tube as it made my AC system groan each time the compressor came on.The orifice tube location on my 4.3L S10 is in the high pressure tube directly under the accumulator dryer. Use needle nose plier, get a firm grip and pull it straight out. Installation of new tube goes in with the filter facing towards your pliers (the orifice tube oring goes in first).

This ACDelco part number 15-5754 is for a front AC system only. My 2003 Express van under went a rear AC delete and while the system was going to be opened and evacuated, I replaced the orifice, the high side valve, and the low side shcrader valve before the second evac. and recharge. The old orifice suprised me that it even worked, I expect it was the original unit, and had the build up to support that thought. When I was done the AC system performs like a new van. The removal and installation of the orifice only taks a minute or two (be sure your system is professionally evacuated first) and for the $10 or so, there really is no reason not to replace this underated player in your AC system.
