There were a few bolts on a truck I serviced recently that were a bit hard to reach and this thing came in handy. Although I could have used a longer ratchet to do what I needed, this was already at arms reach and a ratcheting 12 point already in place. Decided to give it a go and it worked out well getting all the bolts under the fan shroud. Going up from the bottom wasn’t an option as the factory crush bar needed to be taken out to reach the bolts. Simple build and comes in handy. Used it for a serpentine belt replacement recently as well. Fairly priced

It's a wrench extender. Not complicated stuff. It will do the extending of a wrench as needed. My only downside if I were to find one is that the little prongs that hold the wrench are tighter/steeper than the other one I own. Which is fine for a nice flat/thin wrench, but I also often use these with ratchets and such, and so this one is a tad more limited in what size of tool it can grab onto. That said it still grabs onto everything I've tried it with so far so no stars deducted for that.

As the headline states: Works Really Well - Don't Have To Reach For The Breaker BarWow... what a simple device that gets the job done. I'm reaching less for a breaker bar and more with this "Wrench Extender Adapter". One big plus is breaker bars will not fit in tight spaces because of the socket depth. But an open-end wrench with the extender can get into tighter spaces.Construction is excellent and should last for years.

Review for WUPORT Wrench Extender:This Extender actually looks better than the listing photo: the bar is chromed, although it's not ground before plating, so the surface is irregularly textured. The socket hole is better formed than the picture looks and accepts a socket plug just fine, and the wooden handle trip is nicely fitted. The most common type of wrench extender on Amazon has a 'shaped' main bar, while this one is a straight flat bar. I picked this one because I'd seen several reviews mentioning that the shaped bars bend too easily. I can't imagine that I could bend this one: the flat bar is 5/16" thick by 7/8" wide. The max wrench thickness this will accept is just under 1/2": My fattest wrench is a raised panel wrench that measures 1/2" thick on the panel, and it fits only if I couple to the extender just short of the raised panels. A rather standard 12mm wrench, at the other end of 'fit' scale, is pretty loose, and introduces a significant angle change between the wrench shaft and the Extender bar, but will work just fine.Beware of the small thumbscrews that can be installed at the coupler if desired. The only reason I can see to install these is if you can't reach close enough to the bolt to make the coupling. the thumbscrews do lock the wrench in position. If you use them , make sure you have the wrench firmly positioned in the mating jaws, fully seated into the V notch. Although it would be nearly impossible to bend the flat bar of the handle, it would be easy to bend the thumbscrews if the wrench moves inside the notches when leverage is applied-- and you'll be searching for something like an angle grinder to cut the bent thumbscrews out.I considered deducting one star for the low-grade finish on the flat bar, but ultimately did not. It makes absolutely no difference to the function of the tool, and when you need this thing, you won't care whether it's pretty or not.

Let’s face it - sometimes, you need a bit more leverage when breaking fasteners loose on anything you work on. For me, it’s cars. And let me tell you - I have done it all. Cheater pipes, doubling up wrenches - all in the name of getting a bit more leverage than what the original tool can do. This tool is a lot more elegant of a solution that gives you that edge you need to crack that bolt loose and in the event that even this isn’t enough, you can slap a ratchet on the end for even more leverage! I mean, dang! This thing is a lifesaver in those instances!I am not sure I would have used wood as the handle because, well, it is gonna get nasty fast! Grease, oil, gas - it is all gonna get soaked into this thing and I can see future issues with grip maybe. But maybe an epoxy coat over it will help eliminate that. But let me tell you - this is exactly what you need for extra leverage and it looks a whole lot more inspiring than a cheater pipe and a whole lot safer the looping another wrench onto the end of the first one. I am pretty sure I am gonna be using this one a lot, because I get into some pretty hairy situations breaking nuts and bolts loose. Heat helps. But sometimes, you just need that extra little length to give you the leverage to do the job. This is perfect for that and at a really decent price. You would be nuts not to have one in your toolbox!
