My boyfriend used it to stretch my canvas around a wooden frame. It came out perfect, I can't wait to finish my painting.

The spring broke on my first canvas. It is very flimsy. I’m going to try to use it without the spring and see what happens

Works quite well. Quite economical. However after a lot of use the metal weakens and breaks. But the price is low enough that it doesn't matter, just an expense of doing the work.

Spring on handle bent beyond repair halfway around the canvas. Had slightly more strength than a piece of solder.Another piece of Chinese craftmanship : ! When will I learn?!

I am happy with my new Zinc Alloy 6cm Wide Canvas Stretching Pliers. I have stretched my own canvas without using pliers and it has proven to be difficult. This process is much easier to do with this set of canvas pliers. For anyone that finds themselves stretching canvas, this is going to be a very valuable tool. Especially handy for the paint-by-number canvases that are so handy yet usually not stretched on a frame. It's much easier to hold the canvas taught as the edges are bluntly serrated, so I get a good grip with one hand while being able to staple the canvas with my other.
