This foil cutter is heavy duty. If you've spent a lot of time using other wine foil/capsule cutters previously, you probably have had the little cutting wheel(s) come detached from the plastic housing sooner or later. I've glued back more than a couple of those cutting "wheels" in my time. This foil cutter is definitely sturdier, a heavy weight cutter (it also costs a good bit more) that consists of all metal and seems to be built to last. Far heavier than the average "mostly" plastic wine foil cutter, this cutter is also likely designed to cut the capsule on larger bottle formats if need be (think magnum). Time will tell if it will hold up with extended use, but given its all-metal construction, no reason to think it won't.

I was unsure about purchasing this due to the low amount of reviews. I took the chance anyway. I have to say this thing is quality. As soon as I opened it, I was surprised by how much it weighed, i accidentally dropped it and when it hit the floor it sounded as if it hurt the floor more. I opened a bottle with it, and it did it perfectly. Remember you get what you pay for, and if you're thinking about purchasing this, I'd say just go for it.
