I chose the 20 pieces set of ¼” rivet nuts, and I received a pack of 50 that includes another size, too, for evaluation as a courtesy from the seller. This did not swing my opinion, more of the same doesn't make a bad thing good if that would be the case - that's just my take on life. These rivet nuts are made of stainless steel, indeed, good quality steel. All in the pack are very well made, perfect threads, no rough edges. It takes more torque to properly seat these compared to the carbon steel ones of the same size, and the price per piece reflects the better material, but I expect these to last a lifetime and then some. I usually err on the side of better quality, better fix anything once and forever, as much as I can afford the price. So I’d put my bet on these for durability. Time will tell if these meet the long-term expectations, for now these stainless steel rivet nuts do look like top quality.

Being stainless these are really tough to crimp using the 1 hand crimpers. They make a 2 handed version with more leverage that would make install easier. Thread fit seems to be good although I didn’t check with a go-no go gauge. Held the panel tight and didn’t spin when a fastener was screwed in.

I have tried many ways to attach knife handles where I am replacing some sort of rivet. It is usually a compromise that is also fiddly to make. Most recently I have been using a stainless countersunk Allen head with a inlaid nut on the other side. I got these rivet nuts as a superior alternative. They might need modifying a little by reducing the length, but they will give a much neater finish. These are also an alternative to T-nuts. T-nuts are useful where it is not possible to prevent a regular nut from turning at the back of the nut and bolt connection. When you need them they do the trick. But they are about the ugliest fittings possible. These rivet nuts will take a little more drilling time and also some extra precision to align but they will offer a very neat finish that will look totally professional. I am looking forward to using them and will need to change my mindset a little to have them trigger an idea for an application. I like the idea so much that I just ordered a set of multiple sizes. They will go on my wall of a thousand drawers and from now on my work will be better. I like that. These rivet nuts from ALLWIN are nicely made. Not the best finish I have ever seen on a nut but good enough where it counts. Also since they are stainless steel there is always the opportunity to fine sand and polish the exposed bezel. The stainless steel is a nice color and they will look totally smart.Highly recommended.

I've used several different brands and materials. These stainless ones are my favorite so far. You can use them both indoors and outdoors for all kinds of projects, they're so dang handy. My latest project was making some adjustable built-in shelves for my wife in the kitchen pantry. I forgot to take some before pictures, but it was basically just some really flimsy closet-style wire rack shelves that would flex pretty badly if you put any weight on them. I was initially planning on doing a proper built-in set of shelves but the wife didn't know what spacing she wanted and she really wanted them adjustable if possible so I went looking for some heavy-duty adjustable shelves and found some local AR-Shelving units (like these:https://www.amazon.com/Shelving-Storage-Galvanized-Silver-Adjustable/dp/B0BM6TJDY2). However, they only were available if 4ft and 8ft widths and I needed about 62in. These are held together with keyhole slots and button headed rivets so I just bought the 8ft shelf and cut it down to my exact width and then drilled and installed these rivet nuts with some low-profile 5/16 socket-cap bolts (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BMF9GCVM) to act as my replacement rivets. The concept worked perfectly and I actually prefer the fit of the rivnut and bolt in the keyway over the original rivet. I then picked up some 3/4in pre-finished solid oak flooring to match the existing trim and hide the metal shelf face and it turned out pretty good. I then also added three 4ft LED fixtures on the inside of the door (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MS3X0IR) and wired them into a pressure switch (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09HH1HBP8) so that the pantry always has light when the door is opened. Overall I'm pretty happy with it and more importantly the wife loves it.
