Installed in my garage to replace the master for the outside outlets and it works perfectly. Tested it with a gfci trip device on all the outside outlets and they all work. Water resistant is a big plus since I tend to have the garage door open a lot and it gets kind of humid in there sometimes. Overall a great unit

An outlet is the kind of item that either works or it doesn't. This GFCI outlet seems to do the job to protect our bathroom outlet from surges and excess voltage drawn from hair tools, heaters, etc. This one looks good - the cover plate is screwless. The face is clean and the buttons function as expected.

Wanted to replace an older GFCI. Also wanted new outlet to be reoriented in the small, metal, old work box (dislike the ground plug opening on top, see pic). Saw this "thinner" GFCI and went for it. Unfortunately, the "thinner" GFCI is essentially the same size as the old GFCI (see pic). At least it wasn't bigger, which would not work. The new outlet came with side covers to protect the post screws but they were a little unwieldy and a bit too tight for the small box, had to use electrical tape, but it is a nice add/feature. Also, the no show cover is a really nice add for this price point. Didn't use it because I kept the SS decorator cover we already had. Dropped one star for the "thinner" not being all that much thinner (I suppose thinner is relative to some other GFCIs). Other than that, solid outlet.

I installed this outside on a RV shed and used a waterproof cover as the area does get moisture. It is always a good idea to install a GFCI outlet anywhere outside or where there could be moisture. When I installed this I thought it was not working at first as it stayed ‘tripped’ and I could not keep it reset but it turned out that I had a ‘bridge’ on one of the light switches on this circuit that was fed from another line that had not been broken. In other words my light circuits were getting power still from another line and they should not have. It would not have done anything with a normal outlet but this one caught the fact something was wrong.I like the little protectors on the sides but they aren’t really necessary as I turn off the power breaker before I mess with power. There is an indicator light to show you there is power to the outlet but it is harder to see during the day but easy at night.Overall, for the price of this GFCI outlet this is a good deal. It is 1/2 the price of what I normally pay in home improvement stores and works just as well. It also comes with a cover and trim that looks nice if you use it. I would order this again.

I got this outlet because my external outlets are getting old. I didn't need the cover for it since it was going into already existing external housings. The outlet was a breeze to install: under 15 mins, including getting all the tools and turning off the power. There are indeed holes in the back you can push the wires into, but I prefer the hooking wires around the securing bolts - the old-fashioned way - since this way the chance of something getting loose or disconnected is nil. Afterwards, I tested the outlet with a GFCI tester and, indeed, the outlet tripped just exactly as it's supposed to do.One other thing to note is that the listing seems to have changed since the time when I got this outlet. What I got was only weather-resistant but not tamper resistant. It was advertised that way back then too, so it's all fair. It may look like it may be TR from the pictures, but it's not. Totally fine for my purposes, but just in case it matters to you.
