Bought this umbrella for a weekend beach trip and it’s terrible. There is no screw or anchor on the pole and it therefore lifts itself out of the sand and becomes a large projectile in the typical windy conditions you would expect at an ocean beach. I had to chase it down the beach 3 times after it flew away before it could hit and injure someone. The “wind vent” on the top of the umbrella doesn’t do anything to help it withstand wind. The tilt mechanism is fragile and broke within the first 10 minutes of having it engaged to point the umbrella into the wind. The beach was full of umbrellas and none of them seem to have the same issues that this one does. It will be going straight into the trash where it belongs

It wouldn’t stay put in the sand, even when it wasn’t totally windy. But when it did became windy, it caused a scene by trying to fly away 😒😒😒😒

This umbrella does a great job of blocking the sun. It has the silver lining on the inside. However the exterior fabric isn't very UV resistant. I purchased two this year. You can see how much the outer fabric has faded on the one I bought first. I would still buy this again for what it's worth because it does a great job and is pretty resilient when it's windy.

This thing is so light and so easy to set up. I also bought a attachment to connect it to picnic tables and chairs. Super cute and big. Does the job for this traveling family.
