I just experimented with the ANFIER AI Earbuds and they're great! I experimented with the earbuds with French and Spanish and the translations were lightning fast and accurate. The conversation went well with no stilted pauses and it was easy to keep the conversation going! I don’t speak French or Spanish, but used the TV as a mode for testing it in real-time.One of the best parts about it is that it works offline too! It's great that no matter where I am, internet-free, that I'm always able to have accurate translations for loads of important languages at my disposal. That's huge for travel or areas with dodgy internet.Comfort-wise, the earbuds fit well and didn’t feel bulky or uncomfortable, even after extended use. The battery life is also solid since I got hours of use without needing to recharge, and the case provides even more power when needed. Just need to put the earbuds back in the charging case and they get charged.I also liked the different translation modes, particularly Free Talk Mode, where you can just speak and get instant translations without pressing buttons. It makes conversations feel natural. The photo translation mode is also pretty genius. Just take a photo of the text in question and it instantly translates into the language you need.Overall, I love this translation earbud. Highly recommend

This product arrived the next day via Amazon Prime and was packaged in simple retail box.PROS-So first and foremost, I was not sure what to expect, but having tried the different modes in three languages, the quality of the translation is impressive although definitely not perfect. It really does have considerable application for both education and travel.-The earbuds themselves are decently made without anything feeling cheap or flimsy. I particularly like the charging case of this model.-Set up is fairly simple and the app is not overly complicated to install and navigate.-The audio quality is also surprisingly decent and I tired these to make calls, listen to Youtube videos-I tried another variant that is an earbud model, and although I ultimately prefer the size and charging case of the other ones, I find these ones are more comfortable to wear for an extended period of time.-The asking price of $110 CAD does seem a bit high to me but it is not unreasonable.-This seller has a selection of similar products available so make sure to check them out.CONS-We used two sets of translation devices which we found optimal, as it is possible to actually have simple conversations between two people learning each other's language. This can be an expensive prospect of course but the learning applications are impressive.-You definitely will need to have access to a smartphone as this requires an app to use various features, modes and settings.-If you are using these simply as earbuds for calls, music, etc., these likely won't represent excellent value to everyone.-If you have never worn this style of earpiece, the wrap around model may take some getting used to..-This is still a developing technology and so it is important to have realistic expectations. For instance, I would not use these to attend a lecture/course in a different language, expect to enjoy anime/foreign film, etc.

I love all of the options with how you can use this product as long as you have the app on your phone. You can share one earpiece with someone else and talk to each other freely or with push to talk - the other person will hear what is said in their language and what they say will translate to the other person in their language. This worked well when I tested it although it didnt always understand my high school french. I like that the ear buds dont actually insert into your ear at all - they hook along the top and then sit on the outside (or you could even just hold them up against your ear). Another option is to have the other person just speak into your phone with the app open and communicate through the phone to the earpieces you are wearing. This also works well and is a great option if someone is a stranger and doesnt want to use the ear piece or you are having issues explaining what it is. App is easy to find and install and the different modes are well explained and easy to select. I work for a company that has employees that work closely with the general public and we will be buying these to keep in each location to help with translation when required. Recommend!

I tested these with Android and Windows.I began testing these earbuds with the recommended translation app, but was mostly disappointed with it. It's important to note that these are just ordinary earbuds, and can be used with most any translation app. This seems to be the case with most any "translation earbuds". I intended to get back to exploring the recommended app more, but I sidestepped to try these out for playing music. These are not in-ear earbuds as they don't sit inside the ear canal, but rather are over-ear hoops that position the speaker in front of the ear canal and rest on your earlobes. This is generally considered safer for the eardrum, but the bass is reduced. Everyone will have a different expectation or need, you'll need to explore the various kinds of earbuds to find what suits you best. I like bass-y music, these don't have it.The hoops are soft and comfortable - you can barely feel that you're wearing them. Notably, the way in which they're worn in the product photo, pointing downward from the top of the ear, doesn't work. A more fitting orientation is parallel with the floor - front to back.Touch actions are provided for play/pause, previous/next track, and accessing google assistant. There's also an action for volume up/down, documented as press and hold for 2 seconds, but this does not work for me.The product description indicates "offers up to 5 hours of uninterrupted translation or music time. And with the included charging case, you get up to 40 hours of total battery life". This is a little weirdly worded. It means that the charging case can store 40 hours of power - thus you can charge the earbuds 8 times, using them for 5 hours each time, before the charging case needs to be recharged. I didn't enjoy these earbuds as much as I wanted to, so I did not test the reported play time.Another feature is that you can "Snap a picture of text, and instantly translate it through the app with these translating earbuds!" This feature seems out of place, particularly in that it doesn't audibly translate. Some more weirdness here. These earbuds do not contain a camera, so they are completely unnecessary for this function - your mobile can likely do this with a variety of apps, already.TRANSLATIONThere are offline and online versions of this product. These are essentially identical in that both can access online languages at no cost, and internet access is required. The offline version comes with a redemption code for the recommended app to allow you download a limited set of languages, at no cost, that are stored on your mobile device and can be used without internet access. You can choose whatever translation app you prefer. The ones I've tried thus far aren't great. They function, but they problematic for having a conversation with someone. There's more evolution to come with this technology.
