I am not sure if it is 22 dB but worked for me for about 300 ft (open space}

I bought this to replace a 10dBi antenna and it seems to be working well. Signal is very strong although I doubt a passive omnidirectional antenna is capable of 22dBi. It's a large antenna but if you're going for range it's worth trying.

I was surprised to see this product for sale claiming "22dbi gain". To get that kind of gain in a Wi-Fi antenna you either need a parabolic dish or a really tall dipole. I have a claimed 24dbi Wi-Fi dipole antenna on the outside of my house as part of a 2000' link to my well, and it's 60" tall.I have a barely functional Wi-Fi link between my house and my workshop using 2 Cradlepoint MBR1400 routers set up as bridges. The workshop system has a 24dbi dish antenna through a 2-watt preamp/amplifier and is connected to one of the three antenna ports on the workshop MBR1400.But the Bridge at the house just has the three stock 5dbi antennas that come with the MBR1400.I thought that adding another 17dbi antenna gain on three antennas would make the link solid. So I bought 4 of these units (Sold in pairs) and installed three of them on my house MBR1400.Instead of improving the link, the link failed.Ultimately, I set up a controlled, 30', static test using a third MBR1400's "Site Survey" feature, so I could measure the actual signal level of the Wi-Fi signal from the home-to-workshop MBR1400.With the three standard 5dbi antennas mounted on the home-to-workshop MBR1400, the test MBR1400 received a signal level of around -35dbm. By adding a 2-watt pre/amplifier to one of the antennas, the signal strength went up to -25dbm, which is right as these are 10 dB amps.But when I installed the 3 Kaunosta 2.4 GHz 22dBi WiFi Antennas on the house-to-workshop MBR1400, the signal strength went, not up to -18dbm, but DOWN to -45, a loss of 10 dbm over the stock Cradlepoint antennas.Just to be sure, I set up tests using just one antenna, and tested all three of the Kaunosta. antennas in the house-to-workshop MBR1400s, but the relative test results were the same.In my 50 years of being in tech, I should have learned not to believe in magic, that a 16" dipole antenna could have a 22dbi gain, but I did not expect them to LOSE 10dbi gain over stock, which is why my link failed.My junk box just got fuller. These antennas might make good drumsticks, but they are worthless as Wi-Fi antennas.

So when I originally got these I was using two with my dual antenna Alfa Long range setup not realizing they didnt support the 5ghz band. They will work but you actually suffer range loss compared to smaller 5-9dbi dual band antennas. Also if your using this indoors your link quality will suffer, inside I get better signal with an Alfa 9dbi antenna and thats on a dedicated 2.4ghz setup. An unobstructed view is about the only use case these are good for. If your device is USB powered its probably going to suffer using one of these.
