We use both olive and avocado oils which should both be kept in dark containers. So ma y if these oil bottles are clear. I bought a green one and a brown one. Unfortunately the color difference is so subtle as to be no help in distinguishing oils. The bottles come with different tops so that’s how we differentiate. Very nice thick bottles even if the color options aren’t the best.

Thoroughly enjoying this little oil cruet set. Mixing our honey, oil and lemon juice tonic is a breeze. Excellent little set with a funnel as well.

I like all of the options available with the various pieces provided. We used one spout with the bottle our EVOO came in (fit perfectly). We’re using the bottle that came with the set (sturdy and good color, shape and size…was a bit worried about what I’d get when I read some earlier reviews) with one of the plastic plugs and the screw top to hold and dispense vinegar. The funnel is handy for filling the bottles and I still have another spout, plug and screw top as replacements if needed or if I want to make another oil and vinegar set.

Liked the dark brown olive Oil Bottle with pourers and funnel, but yet to use it.

About 6 years ago, I started purchasing organic Olive Oil in 1 Gal jugs, direct from an orchard as it becomes available once per year. And ever since, I have intermittently been looking for a good glass dispenser that wouldn't be so leaky and bulky to deal with. Well, my now 12 year old enjoys making her own salads with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. So far she has been able to manage the big, bulky 1 Gal jug, but isn't necessarily reliable about wiping off the drips. So even though the jug is sitting on a layer of paper towel in the pantry, I often wind up with messy, oily counters when she has been using the olive oil. And sometimes that happens to me too! So I renewed my search for a dispenser and purchased this one about a week ago. I tried it out first, with the flip top nozzle and was pleasantly surprised that it works exactly as advertised. The oil also does not come pouring out. There is good control and I am able to just drizzle some oil on my salads. My daughter was a bit leery when I showed her the bottle, but then was delighted with how much easier it was to manage. I would definitely recommend this bottle and it would make a nice gift as well. One of those items where most people wouldn't think they needed it, but would be pleasantly surprised by how useful it actually is. I actually would have like to have used the spout with the little cap, but it is so small that I think it would get lost or wind up down the drain/disposal unit, especially with a tween using the product. So my one tiny suggestion for improvement on this product would be to add a little loop around the black cap so that it could stay attached to the bottle and just flipped back on.
