Spent $330 to have this starter put in my mini. As soon as it was fixed car worked, but it was unusually loud and the car drove odd. Went to the store to get things I needed, car wouldn’t turn over, took a second try and it barely turned over. As soon as the next day came, car wouldn’t turn over at all. Now I’m spending $475 more to get this part replaced!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!

As stated, it has never given me a single issue. Fit my 2010 MCS R55 like a glove. I suggest buying bolts, my previous starter was missing one from a previous service.

Noisy!!!!!!!! Installed this starter just yesterday and it sounds like the solenoid or shaft gear is going to explode when starting the car. It does start the car; I'll say that, but I feel the starter will give out at the most inconvenient time and place. I've ordered other car parts from A-Premium, and they've been good, so maybe this is a one off. The box was kind of damaged when delivered but no broken pieces were noticed. I'm returning for another one- and this-time if it exhibits the same issue, I'll just get an OEM replacement.Also, unsure if it has anything to do with anything but my old starter has 11 teeth while the new A-Premium starter has 10.

You get what you paid for! These starters are not built to withstand the hot summer temperatures! There is absolutely no power to the solenoid when temperatures exceed 90 degree or minutes after you turn off your hot car! Its ridiculous! I gave in and bought the 300$ starter from Oriellys and the car works like a champ!!
