2019 this is a common issue with this car. I replaced it with this product, and it runs great

My son had antifreeze leaking into his engine, 2019 VW Jetta, 90ishk miles. It was significant leakage. Ironically this began immediately after an oil change at a quick lube place in our town, that we have since heard other people have had issues with as well. Maybe ironic and just happenstance, but anyway.After taking the car to two or three major repair facilities, we were told he needed a new engine along with numerous other things. About $15k worth. We had a strong feeling there was a leak somewhere along the route of the oil cooler due to seeing a drip of the diluted oil/antifreeze under the oil cooler and the small puddle of diluted drip that had been falling onto the undercover in that same area. However, when getting estimates they only look at more superficial things, so that couldn’t be determined, and everyone was pretty adamant it wasn’t the oil cooler, but was a bigger issue. I got an engine block testing kit and tested it myself. Guess what, no signs of any leaks! So we made the decision to let someone do the less expensive job of replacing the oil cooler. Leaking stopped. We were left with major engine warnings though- engine oil pressure and an issue with the timing components- DO NOT DRIVE warnings. I spent lots of time researching this stuff myself and deduced that we most likely had sensor switches that had gone bad due to the contaminated engine oil we had been dealing with for a while.I bought this aftermarket solenoid, found its location, bought ramps, and replaced it myself. That fixed the timing notification! Unfortunately, VW has the oil pressure switch on this model in a place where it took a professional to get to it. I found a VW loving shop. Explained in detail where we had come from and where we were. Asked that they please just test the engine oil pressure, then replace the switch, as I was 99.9% sure that was the problem. He was impressed with my knowledge of this car as a person with no prior experience, yet he was still skeptical. Turned out, I was correct, and the engines oil pressure was fine, just needed a new switch. Bottom line, this solenoid is good, trusting mechanics is hard, and sometimes getting your hands dirty and learning a few things is the best way to go!
