It's very simple to build, set the two legs on the upside down top, screw it down. I used a power drill and greased the screws, as usual. I used a Torx T25 bit. I prefer Torx to drive Allen screws.I guess I like to make everything complicated. To get the legs to lie flat on the top as I was screwing it down, I glued them down first. That took a couple iterations. I couldn't get hot glue to stick to the finished surface. (It looks "natural" like raw wood, but it's actually finished, maybe with polyurethane.) After peeling and cleaning the dried hot glue off the pieces a couple times, I switched to T700 glue and gave it about a half hour to cure, after making sure the holes were straight with a small punch. Then I screwed it in, and flipped it over, and it was very good, no wobble. I didn't need the little pads for the legs, but I may still use them.This is an attractive piece, with the natural finish and the slats all lining up, but it is too small for us to want to sit on it, also the slats aren't the most comfortable. But it will be a platform for indoor plants. We can set a pan under it, and then water that drips down can be caught in the pan. The finish on the stand is very good and I expect it can withstand water, so the stand should be quite durable and clean up easily in this application.

Easy to put together. Didn’t end up working for what I wanted but looks great.

So easy to put together. Very sturdy. It’s currently being used to fill the space of an empty side wall but my cats love it and it’s been really nice to use as a small side table for my laptop while I sit on the couch or as a stool when I have friends over. If my apartment were large enough I would definitely get the longer version as well!
