This is a warm well-insulated jacket.The wrist cuffs have thumb slots to help keep them tucked under your mittens or gloves, always a great feature when playing in the snow.The zippers are good quality.The color is eye-popping bright! Looks great, although I'm sure it will show up a lot of stains.

I got this for my year-old son for upcoming skiing season and it's so much lighter than the one we had before. I hope it will keep him warm but that can be done with layering. The color is super bright which I love because it will help make him stand out in the snow. Good number of pockets and it fit him well.

This Arctix Kids' High Altitude Insulated Jacket is definitely very thick material. I got size XL which is more for comparable small adult. It is a bit pricey at $66, and is more fitting for snow play, not just for regular West Coast cold weather.

Great quality jacket. Love the highlighter color...makes it much easier to keep track of your kid.Fits true to size, maybe a smidge loose...can definitely layer sweatshirts or sweaters underneath.The sleeves have the nice cuff to keep wind out.Happy kid, happy parents.
