Really really really like these boots! When I'm wearing them I feel sophisticated and trendy. The look and color are a perfect match from what you see on amazon. You can't beat the real leather feel (and protection). The price is very reasonable for leather. The bottom sole rubber is very sturdy with a great tread pattern for winter time in the snow and slush. The size is spot on...possibly just a tiny fraction bigger than expected but I don't notice while wearing. Another thing I like...there is no pull-tag attached to the upper back area. I have other boots with this tag and my pants always get hung up on that tag. No pants-bottom clinging issues with these boots!

Overall, these aren't my usual go-to style; more likely to wear workboots, and looking down while wearing them to me they looked almost cowboy-boot like, but my wife said they do look like nicer dress boots, something I could wear into the office.The leather is a bit on the stiff side, but feels of good quality for the price especially, but I love personally a nice soft leather, but with the right age and care these will get there on their own. The soles are of good thickness for a dress boot; not the same as a workboot, but more substantial than a cheap dress shoe for certain. Fairly comfortable, a little stiff, may benefit from a thin aftermarket insole, but not entirely necessary. I have a fairly tall foot, so I do have to loosen the laces a bit, but once on, plenty of space and comfortable, no weird pressure-points like some boots and dress shoes can have. Stitching and all seem well done, but only time will tell how they'll wear over time. At the asking price, very easy to recommend.

I just got the boots today. I normally wear a 10.5 or 11, but I've been burned so many times by different brands that say one size, resulting in a smaller shoe or boot. I ordered an 11.5. In the worst case, I'll need to insert a pad. I may still have to do the insert but the 11.5 has the bit of extra width I need so I'm delighted with the fit and LOVE the brogue detail. The color is spot on, it is a rich dark golden color and the rogue is a tad darker which makes it pop nicely. I wore them at a dinner tonight and dressed so the boots where the star, and I got a lot of compliments.This is described as a chukka, but it is as taller than my Chelsea boots and noticeably higher than other Chukka's I own.I included photos of a tan chukka, a green Chelsea boot, the Arkbird, and a zip boot from Kohl's. You can clearly see the chukka is the shortest of the four. I going to order the brown or black to round off my boots and return the boots from Kohl's.

To my eye, these boots pair well with blue-jeans because in my opinion, pairing brown with blue is beautiful in a timeless way. I like wearing blue jeans. With steel-toed boots, I look rugged, but with these boots, I look just a touch urbane, or slightly sophisticated, even in jeans, but especially if you add a tweed blazer of similar suit jacket.I also think these boots are versatile in that as much as they dress up jeans, they add a subtle rugged touch to slacks, dressing them down, because of what amounts to an aggressive boot tread. In a way, these boots have married wing-tips to climbing boots, at least stylistically. Neat. But I wouldn't go hiking in these boots. But I would proudly wear these into combat, as the description calls these combat boots!I ordered size 10. I wear size 10. I physically held the soles of these Arkbird boots next to my size 10 steel-toed boots and their size are exactly the same. So yeah, they fit me well and they are very comfortable. And the color of these boots match the color in the ad exactly.
