My daughter has an older Chevy Malibu and her cigarette lighter charge port shorted out. She is just now starting out on her own and doesn’t have the money to fix it, nor am I good at electrical issues. She was going crazy having to listen to the radio full of commercials and random music, so I found her this rechargeable transceiver and it works great for her! The charge lasts several hours as long as she remembers to bring it inside and put on charge overnight.

Just arrived today, a few days late, but better late than never. After fully charging the device, I attempted to see if my home stereo would pick up the signal from my cell phone. It would not lock into the defined signal (known clear since it's a channel I use with a similar device). Then tried it on 2 other receivers. Both of those required the unit to be within 2 - 4 feet of the device to pick up the signal. Even then, the sound drifted in and out between the music from the phone and your basic FM static signal. I'm returning this device.

Not wowing me with the sound. You can do better by using bluetooth imstead of fm, but if you need fm this will suffice. For the price it's very good, doesn't cut out very often, but occasionally will for a split second, but that's to be expected when using fm anyway. This little Ashata 3.5mm fm transmitter also comes with a rechargable battery. I bought this specifically so I wouldn't have to use my cars lighter port, as a lot of people don't know this but using your cigarette port often with any device can cause electrical issues with your vehicle, so I got this rechargable option instead. I just recharge it with my wall charger in the house, but I also have a solar rechargable external battery that I leave in my car that recharges this and my phone.Make sure when using this item, to try nearly every open station, because yes, some open slots have better connectivity than other open slots, and these connections will change the quality of the audio as well as whether or not your selected station will ever cut out and lose signal due to interference. Also it does help to make sure your devices settings don't mess up the quality of the audio. So make sure whatever this is plugged into isn't on the highest audio setting, as well as whatever is recieving the music sound/signal isn't turned all the way up either. Gradually go up in sound until you find a sweet spot with the audio that you like, and also it does help to play with equalizers on your devices. Personally I like V-shaped sound signatures, so you can try boosting Bass and Treble on your devices to get preferred audio quality. These tips make the device better overall imo. Trust me it's not a bad product, just make sure you're using it right and getting your monies worth... Even if it is older, and costs less than 20 bucks LOLI don't doubt there are far better options, but if you want something you're not wanting to spend a lot of money on, go for it. And again, if you for sure don't have an aux port, have no bluetooth options and don't have a cassette player to just use a cassette to aux port, then this is your next best bet. Unfortunately, all those other options are better, and can be very cheap as well.Hope this helped someone, peace.

Considering that this is a tiny 'broadcast' device, and the signal is being broadcast very close to the car radio and antenna, it should block out any other radio stations on the dial, but it doesn't. I tend to use this mostly when I expect to be driving around for a while, but it is very difficult to find a totally 'empty space' on the radio. Existing radio stations will bleed in over the signal coming from this device and it has to be regularly adjusted. If the signal produced was stronger, this would not be a problem.

This thing is a lil champ! Worth the money and bang for the buck. I kid you not this went through the washing machine and came out fine. Granted it's not water proof but I let it dry for a few hours and poof started working like nothing ever happened. The range is pretty good and the battery life is amazing too. Last for a good 6 hours solid usually I charge for a half hour at lunch then gets me through the rest of my work day. Awesome product super great price.
