really sturdy and solidthis is how toilet seats use to feel like - weight and looksthe two bolts and wing nuts to attach the seat to bowl are fantastic - short and easy to installnote - most toilet seats have these 10 inch bolts and you are screwing the wingnut up forever, not thisthis is for the folks that need to close the lid, i dont, it will make noisebotton line - im real happy with this purchase and it was cheap
