If I could give this motherboard zero stars, I would. I’ve been building high-end PCs for 30 years, and this is, without a doubt, the worst, most unstable, infuriating piece of garbage I have ever dealt with.I built a brand-new system with only premium hardware:AMD 9950X128GB of DDR5 RAMTwo Samsung 990 Pro NVMe drives1000W EVGA Platinum PSUTitan X Pascal GPUFor the first two weeks, everything seemed fine. Then the nightmare began.Constant Boot Failures, Freezes, and DRAM Light HellAlmost every reboot, the system would either freeze at the Windows loading animation or get stuck on the orange DRAM light with a blank screen. It got worse over time—eventually, it wouldn’t even get to the Windows logo at all.The system would fail to boot 19 times out of 20, and then—randomly—it would work.Once inside Windows, the system was perfectly stable. No crashes, no instability, just complete and utter boot-time failure.Tried EVERYTHING—Nothing WorkedI spent over a month troubleshooting this garbage board, wasting entire days and nights trying to get it working. Here’s what I tried:✔ Reset CMOS (at least 30 times) – No effect.✔ Tested each RAM stick individually – No effect.✔ Tried different RAM slots – No effect.✔ Replaced PSU with a brand-new one – No effect.✔ Reinstalled Windows on multiple drives – No effect.✔ Removed every PCIe device, every SATA drive – No effect.✔ Tried different power cables and connectors – No effect.✔ Updated BIOS, reset BIOS, loaded defaults – No effect.✔ Ran MemTest all night—no errors – Because the RAM was fine.Asus Motherboard = Defective VRM? Bad Power Delivery? Who Knows! After testing every single component individually, it became crystal clear: this motherboard is faulty. The boot failures got worse and worse over time. The orange DRAM light would randomly stay on.Sometimes the system wouldn’t even POST at all.I’d clear CMOS, and it would help for a short time, then fail again. This board is completely unstable and was dying right in front of me. I believe it has a faulty VRM or some major power delivery issue. And now that I’ve spent over 35 days troubleshooting this nightmare, I’m outside of Amazon’s return window.Final Verdict: DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE.Thanks to Asus, I just wasted 500 bucks on a motherboard that lasted barely a month. Never again. I’m throwing this piece of junk in the trash and buying a board from another brand. If you value your time, money, and sanity, STAY AWAY FROM ASUS.

if you want my opinion on the motherboard itself, it works perfectly and i have had no issues with it. i would advise extreme caution however buying it through whatever retailer amazon US buys it through as i bought one that had to be returned and is still in that process due to 3 of the pins in the socket being damaged. the replacement that i am now using had the plastic socket cover not be properly put back on before shipping and was midway through a firmware update so it had to be flashed by a builder before it could even be worked on to update it properly

Pros:Lots of connectivityFast board and a enthusiast board that allows for CPU tuningFast WIFI 6E cardFeature packedGreat aestheticsCons:Loud Chipset fanVery slow initial bootup, with a black screenExpensive, I got this as open box which shaved some costs.Doesn't come with onboard sound, but a USB-C external DACOverall positive, the HIVE breakout box I actually didn't use as I already had an external USB sound adapter that I use instead on my old system set up.There's also a FPS-II card that goes into the motherboard that has old SATA connectors and internal USB headers. I didn't need to use that card at all, and it's optional as the power button along with CMOS clear is available on the motherboard. The downfall is the chipset fan is really loud, and the chipset cooling which is lacking. I have to use additional fans inside my ITX case to quiet down the entire system.
