In the past I liked Asus Routers. I have an old one I use as a switch. I really really HATE deceit. I just found that you have to share your data with Trend Micro in order to use the parental controls. I kept the router a few days too long so I can't return it. I am going to complain to Amazon about this. If you do not agree to sharing, the Parental Controls switch goes off when you withdraw permission. Essentially the router is useless to me. I would have given it a "-" if I could.

I got a set of three mesh routers and found that I needed more ethernet ports so I bought this as my main base router and use the other three as satellites. I have a very old home with horsehair plaster as the walls and it is always been very difficult to get good signal.I vowed never to touch another Netgear piece of technology again and I'm so glad that I did because this is the best experience that I've ever had and easiest experience setting up whole home Wi-Fi ever.Within an hour I had everything set up and I'd already gone through all of the customization for security and browser router access.I know that ASUS can be expensive and I'm sure they have their issues with customer service but this was the least expensive solution for Wi-Fi 7. I have whole home Wi-Fi with four routers... under $500! Bet

This modem is awesome. I’m so happy with it. This experience is amazing. Anybody who buy this will be happy no BS Wi-Fi seven.

Set up went fine and internet worked well for about three hours but then dropped and wouldn't restart despite multiple power cycling and sequencing of component starts. Reinstalled a few times and had similar behavior (anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours of successful internet connection and then failure). Checked with service provider and they always reported no issues on their end, but did say they couldn't guarantee compatibility with any specific router except a product from a certain jungle-namesake internet based shopping platform, so I returned this product. While more expensive and I hate to be shoe-horned into purchasing a specific brand/product when there should be an equal playing-field for device manufacturers agnostic of the Internet provider the new device from the other manufacturer works without dropping the connection, from the very first install, so that's the solution I am sticking with

I like the speed but was hopping for more speed.
