My son had a pair the school gave him for his bass drum and it had a screw holding the head on the stick. We purchased this for him to use instead and they work perfectly. It was just what he need for bass 1 drum.

I've been in the marching percussion world since 1999. I have used a number of different mallets over the years. These are by far the best mallets on the market. Since I've been teaching these are the only mallets I will have my students use. The weight is perfect. The length is great.As with all mallets its best to keep them protected and away from moisture. Moisture will cause the felt heads to balloon and warp.I used these mallets on 18" and 20" bass drums
