I have several satin kimono robes and I love them. Generally, they are a nice weight satin that you can't see through and have beautiful prints. I love birds so when I saw this, I ordered it for myself and as a gift. However, when I received it, I was very disappointed. The fabric is very thin, like a liner fabric. The print is somewhat dull and the placement of the bird is so that half the bird is cut off on the front panel. That's the part you will see first! That's the reason you buy it. This is definitely going back, what a disappointment in quality and look. The other kimonos I've bought in the past were so much nicer and less expensive than this. I'm afraid to buy any more because this may be the new low quality norm out there, just like everything else.

The robe is nice. I purchased the black floral one. I have a vast wardrobe of genuine silk, and silky, kimono robes. This one is a soft and lightweight synthetic material, silky. The florals are elegant against the deep black. It is printed only on one side, the interior white. Because the sleeves are shorter than I prefer for a lounge robe, I'll wear this one when engaging in activities around the house for which long, dramatic sleeves would get in the way. The robe is standard sized, one size, seemingly up to about a size XL.

What you see is what you get. Very good looking robe. I wear it with white satin slacks to lounge around on a rainy day. Looks much more expensive than it is. Fabric is soft. Overall fit is running on the larger size, which I personally like. Highly recommend.
